Produced by WBZ, the talent show features local performers. It is initially hosted Gene Burns. He is succeeded by then Dave Maynard and the show remains on the air in Boston – briefly on WCVB Channel 5 as the Dave Maynard Talent Showcase – until 1987. A subsequent version appears on regional stations in 2007 and on WSBK Channel 38 and WBZ-Channel 4 on April 11, 2008 and April 13, 2008 respectively.
